17 Springs

In 2017, overlapping conversations between the City of Millbrook, Grandview Family YMCA, Elmore County Board of Education, Elmore County Economic Development Authority, and Elmore County Commission started the journey now referred to as 17 Springs.  The name 17 Springs is rooted in a historic art festival hosted decades ago in the Millbrook community on the YMCA property. Looking for an iconic name for the joint development of recreational, entertainment and retail opportunities, the partnership settled on 17 Springs as the name to serve as its brand. From the basis of 17 Springs, the recreational outdoor area has been dubbed “The Fields at 17 Springs” while the future event center has been named “The Fieldhouse at 17 Springs”. The adjacent commercial areas planned as a dining, hospitality, shopping and entertainment district carries the name “The Marketplace at 17 Springs”.

Karate

YMCA karate classes focus on a variety of skills and areas of personal growth, such as self-defense, self-confidence, personal discipline, respect for others and physical conditioning.

Grandview's Special Events
Aquatics

We have 3 pools, including a 5-lane lap swim pool and 2 water park pools. Let the kids enjoy our 2-tube slides that send them flying into our 4-feet deep catch pool or get in and have some fun with them! Our other water park pool has a zero-degree entry, making it easy for your little ones to ease in safely and have a great time on the alligator slide or under the rain maker. Pools are open May – September and have highly trained and certified lifeguards on duty at all times.

Health & Wellness

Our fitness center offers a variety of cardio equipment, selectorized weight equipment, and free weights. Equipment orientation, fitness assessment, and program design are always FREE to members! We also offer a variety of group exercise classes including spinning, yoga, beginner fitness, step aerobics, and more. Our locker rooms offer personal lockers and showers for your convenience.

BASKETBALL

Our basketball court is a great way to have fun, meet friends and get fit!

Spring Outdoor Soccer

The Grandview Family YMCA Recreational Outdoor Soccer Program is for boys and girls 3 to 12 years of age, who wish to play recreational level soccer. Teams are coached by volunteer parent coaches. This program is designed to meet each player at their current level of play and provide opportunities to increase their individual skills. The goal is that these opportunities lead to an overall enjoyment of the game for years to come. Through participation in practices and games, players learn sportsmanship, how to work as a team and also build quality relationships with players and coaches in the program. Practices will be during the week at the 17 Springs Sports Complex in Millbrook. Games could be on weeknights or Saturdays. An admission fee will be taken this season. A game jersey and socks are provided with registration.

Beautiful, Expansive Grounds

Step outside and enjoy our 190 acres of picnic areas, walking trails, a playground, athletic fields, and our very own lake! Bring your fishing gear and make a catch or enjoy the use of funyaks (sit-on-top kayaks), canoes, and pedal boats on member days at the lake.

Rentals

Hosting a party, conference, or reception? The Grandview YMCA is here to serve you! We offer a variety of options to meet any of your hosting needs with our lodge, Rec Hall, and grounds.

Personal Training Program

Motivation and accountability are two very good reasons to work with a personal trainer.
A personal trainer prepares your workout agenda, keeps you on task, and encourages you to do your best every session. You and your personal trainer work as a team to reach your goals.

At the Y, we offer workouts to suit your personal needs through one-on-one coaching or small groups of
2 to 4 members with our nationally certified trainers.

Sessions are scheduled with your personal trainer:

  • Members pay for training packages in advance of all training

  • All sessions must be purchased in 1, 5, or 10 hour packages.
