Mission Moments

At the Y, we have moments that motivate us to continue what we do. Sarah McNeely, a mother of two, shares her story of how the Y staff impacted her and her family in ways she never imagined.

“My son started attending the Grandview YMCA in the summer of 2020. The staff and counselors have always been great with my kids. Not only does the YMCA provide after-school care, but the staff has also poured knowledge into and provided guidance to my children. I truly believe Lindsey and the counselors under her leadership have helped Dalton mature and learn to navigate the social challenges that he faces. With the loss of my husband, the guidance to me and Dalton has been crucial and has made a huge impact on our family. Lindsey, Ashanti, and other counselors have been extremely patient with Dalton; going above and beyond what is required of them. I appreciate you, Lindsey, Ashanti, and everyone else at the YMCA, including the bus driver and office staff.”
