12TH ANNUAL YMCA OF GREATER MONTGOMERY GOLF CLASSIC

Our annual golf tournament continues the long-standing tradition of helping children and families through the programs and services of the Y. The Historic Cleveland Avenue YMCA has been at the fore of building community and family strength.

The Y is, and always will be, dedicated to serving the community for all.

The Historic Cleveland Avenue Y is located in the heart of the 36108 zip code. Within that zip code, the median household income is just $22,000 a year, leaving children in that community often wondering where their next meal may come from when not in school. They may also have limited access to afterschool care, summer camp, youth sports, or even the life-saving skill set of how to swim.

We serve over 500,000 meals a year to children at our Y and our mobile feeding unit called the Brown Bag Bus, as well as provide financial assistance to children and families in our community.

These scholarships provide access to YMCA memberships, afterschool care (so that parents can continue to work), youth sports, and summer camps. In addition, scholarships provide year-round swimming lessons at the Historic Cleveland Ave indoor pool, preventing drownings in a community where access to water is prevalent.

The Historic Cleveland Avenue Y serves its community and makes a huge difference in the lives of children and families every day.
