The Southeast YMCA is a family facility offering youth and adult fitness, aerobics, youth sports, before and after school childcare, summertime aquatic programs and much more. We strive to meet community needs through organized programs that promote healthy lifestyles for the entire family.
When you are involved with the Y, you help bring about lasting personal and social change. Whether you want to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve your or your family’s health and well-being, or give back and support your neighbors, your involvement with the Y will positively impact those in your community.
The Southeast YMCA has a rich tradition of offering youth sports that teach teamwork, cooperation and good sportsmanship.
Have to be at work before your child has to be at school? Take advantage of our early morning drop-off service. Give your child a safe, fun place to wait for school, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Monday-Friday. When its time to walk next door to Dannely, our counselors will walk with your child to ensure his or her safety.
The YMCA also offers an after school program. This program is designed to provide structured activities for your child until you can get off work. Everyday the children get a snack, have homework time, and do organized group activities such as arts and crafts, group games or free play. We do offer tutoring and extended homework time for any child that needs extra help. Registration is always open, come visit us today!
The YMCA offers member and non-member swim lessons during the Summer, as well as hosting their very own competitive swim team.
The Southeast YMCA branch offers a free weight room and separate cardio room for those who enjoy staying in shape or working on becoming more healthy. The cardio room is equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes and Precor machines. The separate weight room offers popular machines such as Life Fitness, Hammer Strength and Cybex.
Enjoy relief from the summer heat by taking a dip in the 25-yard swimming pool equipped with 2 twisting slides and a picnic area to enjoy the day.
One of the YMCA’s greatest asset is their two gymnasiums. There is always an open goal for working on that jump shot or even an open space if you’re just looking for a dry activity area for those rainy days.
