YMCA TOPSoccer

The YMCA TOPSoccer program is designed to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth of kids with special needs through soccer. The program is open to children ages 4-19 age group with any with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities. The program provides people with diverse abilities an opportunity to play soccer in a structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive, and inclusive. 

Fall TOPSoccer (Participants)

TOPSoccer for ages 4-19. Each Player will be paired with a sidekick (a buddy volunteer) during training or games. Please consider being a sidekick and making an impact on a child’s life! 

REGISTRATION ENDS (IN HOUSE AND ONLINE): OCTOBER 7TH

SESSIONS: OCTOBER 11TH, 18TH, & 25TH NOVEMBER 1ST, 8TH, & 15TH

ALL SESSIONS 5:30-6:30 PM

COST:
Member: $35.00
Non-Member: $55.00

*Financial Assistance paperwork needs to be turned in two weeks prior to registration.

The YMCA TOPSoccer program is designed to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth of kids with special needs through soccer. Sidekicks must be 12 years of age or older and commit to all sessions.  This will help create a bond between the player and the sidekick making the player more comfortable. Please consider being a sidekick and making an impact on a child’s life!

2022 Fall Youth Outdoor Soccer

Youth Soccer for ages 7-17. Age groups will be boys and girls unless not enough participants in which that age group will be coed. Practices will be scheduled by the coach.

***Shinguards are mandatory both at practices and games. NO JEWELRY FOR GAMES (earrings, necklace, etc.)

Volunteer Sidekick

YMCA Outdoor Soccer

The YMCA of Greater Montgomery is inspiring youth by teaching the fundamentals of the game of soccer. These skills will assist in the overall development of the youth that are participating. They will learn how to pass, shoot, one-touch, throw-in, free kick, penalty kick, goal keeping, offense and defense. Participants will have comprehension of the rules and terminology of the game of soccer.

This program is not only great for children learning a new game, but also for new families meeting and fellow-shipping with other families in the community. Games and practices will be scheduled by the coach. It’s never too early to build a strong foundation for the future!

  • Soccer cleats and shinguards are mandatory.
  • Ages 7 – 17 Soccer games and practices are 2 days a week, during the week.
  • All leagues will begin the week of September 13th

Fall Soccer (Ages 3 - 14)

The YMCA Recreational Outdoor Soccer Program is for boys and girls 3 to 14 years of age, who wish to play recreational level soccer. Teams are coached by volunteer parent coaches. This program is designed to meet each player at their current level of play and provide opportunities to increase their individual skills.

The goal is that these opportunities lead to an overall enjoyment of the game for years to come. Through participation in practices and games, players learn sportsmanship, how to work as a team and also build quality relationships with players and coaches in the program.

Practices will be during the week at the Grandview Family YMCA and games will be held in Millbrook as well as the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex in Montgomery.

Games could be on Saturdays or weeknights.
