YMCA OF GREATER MONTGOMERY

GOODTIMES YMCA

OUR AMENITIES AND PROGRAMS ARE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.

ABOUT THE GOODTIMES YMCA

Children are like sponges – they watch and absorb knowledge, skills and values from everything and everyone around them. At the Y, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. That’s why our childcare, after school, and pre-k programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need children have to feel connected and supported in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other. And it’s why the Y brings affordable childcare to all children in the Greater Montgomery area.

OUR FEATURED PROGRAMS

Summer Day Camp

Build Character and Creativity this Summer!

Summer Programs are offered at The Montgomery YMCA Goodtimes Center for children ages 5-14. During the summer, participants are involved in a fun and innovative program consisting of swimming lessons every day, free swim every day, inside games and activities, outside games and activities, arts and crafts, and field trips.

At the Y this summer, children ages 5 to 14 can do everything from learning how to swim to improving their reading skills. Every day your child will participate in learning enrichment activities that stretch their mind, daily devotions that will teach them character through skits and songs, and health and nutrition through the daily snack and lunch program. By the day’s end, a parent can rest in knowing that their children have participated in activities and learned something that will help them in the coming year.

Before & After School Care

Kids participating in Before and After School Care learn valuable social and scholastic skills in a safe, fun, and supervised environment. The Y’s Before and After School Care program offers a constructive balance of counselor led activities and free time for child exploration. Daily theme activities include arts and crafts, science/math, nutrition/wellness, presentation and literacy. There is always time for homework, a healthy snack for kids, and outside time on the playground.
