The Wilson YMCA is a family facility offering youth and adult fitness, aerobics, youth sports, before and after school childcare, summertime aquatic programs and much more. We strive to meet community needs through organized programs that promote healthy lifestyles for the entire family.

Our positive commitment to programs that strengthen the spirit, mind and body is evident in our fitness programs. Equipment orientation, Personal Fitness Consultation and Fitness testing are free to members. They are great ways to start your journey to better health and well-being. We offer options for personal training.
The YMCA offers karate classes, from beginner to advanced level, for young children, youth, teens and adults. Our classes are provided in a safe, ethical, and traditional environment that caters to all levels of experience. YMCA karate classes focus on a variety of skills and areas of personal growth, such as self-defense, self-confidence, personal discipline, respect for others and physical conditioning.
Our SPLASH PAD is great for kids! Come make a splash for some fun in the sun! The splash pad is free for members. If you are not a member, splash pad monthly passes are $25 per family or day passes are $5 per person.
Motivation and accountability are two very good reasons to work with a personal trainer.
A personal trainer prepares your workout agenda, keeps you on task, and encourages you to do your best every session. You and your personal trainer work as a team to reach your goals.
At the Y, we offer workouts to suit your personal needs through one-on-one coaching or small groups of
2 to 4 members with our nationally certified trainers.
Sessions are scheduled with your personal trainer:
- Members pay for training packages in advance of all training
- Members purchase training packages at the Welcome Center
- All sessions must be purchased in 1, 5, or 10 hour packages.

5 Hour Package: $180.00

TWO TO FOUR MEMBERS:

The Speed and Agility Camp is designed to enhance an athlete’s quickness, reaction time, and overall athletic performance. Dynamic stretches prepare muscles for intense activity, while light jogging or mobility exercises increase blood flow. Short bursts of running improve acceleration. Alternating between high-intensity sprints and rest periods enhances training effectiveness. Navigating through cones improves directional changes. Using agility ladders enhances footwork and coordination. Jumping exercises build explosive power. Employing weights or resistance bands increases muscle strength. Static stretching prevents injury and aids recovery. Light activities gradually lower the heart rate: faster acceleration and sprinting ability lead to a better capacity to change direction quickly. Stronger muscles support athletic movements, resulting in improved footwork and overall body control.
